4 GOLDEN RULES FOR A SUMMER DAY DATE

Summer time, blistering heat, no life without ACs , cool drinks and a relaxed vibe. Although staying indoors is a great idea, going out becomes inevitable at times. And for us girls, the problem is TOO MANY CLOTHES AND NOTHING TO WEAR!

Some days are well, just about nothing too formal and yet you have to be dressed up for it. A casual day date, a luncheon, a movie..a play date..anything..one wants to feel a bit fashionable and a bit chilled out. Finding clothing that actually fulfills both the criterion can be a daunting task. But then, fashion is such a necessary evil! Can't really live without it, can we now?

Let's just shed some light on how you can easily turn a not so formal outfit into a fun date outfit with just a few easy breezy  tips. Before we start, let me just say that the most important thing to carry is your confidence. If you are happy with the way you look, the world will notice and admire!

Glares, hats and bags are much written about. Lets just focus on a very basic yet effective summer look today that works for an indoors date or a mall outing.

I have this absolutely light weight and super sexy blouse ( click to shop ) from my favorite online shopping destination DRESSLINK in monochrome with leather patchwork on the yoke.

The classy patch work, the breezy fabric and the high-low hemline style of this top make it a versatile pick for any girl's wardrobe.

Let me show you how it fits perfectly in my summer day date look-

Now what I did to make this outfit look summer date ready is very simple. I followed my 4 RULES OF DRESSING UP FOR A CASUAL SUMMER DAY DATE-

1. WORK THOSE FEET IN FLATS!

Although women in heels own the world, sometimes, especially this summer, give those pretty paws some "FLAT SOLE" therapy. Spring summer 2015 is all about less heels and more flats. Runways and stores are stocking up with some superb options in sandals, gladiators, ballerinas and more sans heels. Keep your feet happy in some summery flats and be fashionably date ready!

2. BELTS

Add curves and glam instantly with some super hot belts! Clench the waist or let them hang freely ..belts always add that edge to your overall look without making it look like too much effort. They are available in so many stylish variations, beaded, metallic, elastic, slim belts and big ones. Coordinate them with your outfits and see the results for yourself! I went bag free but belted for this look..sometimes its good to keep your hands free for better things!

3.BREEZY OR FITTED, MATCHING COORDINATES

Keep one part of the outfit flared and flowy..skater dresses and tops, long umbrella skirts, breezy blousons like the one I'm wearing are great options..keep the other coordinate fitted for a shapely, womanly effect! I wore jeggings with this loose top and just clenched it at the waist with a METAL BELT for some curves. You can effectively hide your flaws and flaunt your assets this way! And more importantly..you look free and you breathe free.

4. AVOID OVER ACCESSORIZING

Accessories are big this year, and will continue to rule the style roost as they add dollops of style to any basic look. But avoid too much cluttering during day time in summers due to obvious reasons. Trust me, You don't want to look like a walking talking junk jewelry brand advertisement in 41 degrees Celsius! Keep a few basic ones and discard the rest. You will create a better look for sure.
Like I always say- "After dressing up completely, take one good look at yourself in the mirror and take off one piece of accessory!" GOLDEN RULE GIRLS!

I chose this blue simple neck piece only as it went well with the blue in my jeggings!

So this was my way of saying that its better to be simple than going overboard. Accessorize with caution and stay weather friendly in your attire.
If you find these tips useful, do leave a word below..would as always love to hear it from you all!

Lots of love and style till I fashion up again!
