HEMANT AND NANDITA AW'15 PREVIEW-THE BOHEMIAN JOURNEY

Hemant Lalwani and Nandita Raipurani are packed with truckloads of talent and an equal amount of chutzpah. At the beginning of their fashion journey , Hemant assisted fashion designer Aparna Jagdhari Wangdi while Nandita worked with Malini Ramani .

Hemant-Nandita’s forte lies in array of prints and motifs developed by fusing various traditional and contemporary elements. They inter-mingle trends and styles to create something that is true to their sensibilities. Their individualistic statement is something people look up to, and their designs go beyond admiration.

A couple of days back, I got a chance to explore their Autumn winter 2015 collection at the special preview held at OGAAN. Besides drooling over the collection over hors d'oeuvres & wine, I got a chance to meet and greet some amazing people such as Ms Kavita Bhartiya and Anupama Dayal.

Any chance to meet fellow bloggers is ofcourse a little party in itself and calls for the mandatory selfie! Caught up with the gorgeous +Ms. Coco Queen aka Sukhneet at the preview.

As we feasted our eyes over the collection, I tried on two of my favorite capes from this BOHO CARAVAN. Check out these gorgeous pieces and I am sure you will love them as much as I did.

ABOUT BOHO CARAVAN

For Autumn/Winter 2015, Hemant&Nandita projects their love for ethnicity through the art of storytelling. While folk and regional tapestry outlines this collection, Boho Caravan entwines ancestral traditional with bohemian glamour. Clustering floral thread embroideries, swirling ethnic prints, rich earthy tones with an intricate texture treatments, this collection echoes sheer wilderness. Cozy blanketovercoats and capes are tied on to dainty maxi dresses and pants, assorted with detailing of swaying fringes and tassels. This collection is deeply rooted into muted tones of dusky brown, smoke grey, olive green, mustard, dull reds. With comfortable tweeds, plaids, velvet and felt highlights, Boho Caravan reflect a true sense of a nomadic woman who is a free-spirited leader with effortless elegance.

Besides the clothing, the collection had a decent dose of accessories and footwear that looked like the must have  fall staples. Boots and belts, bags and more, it was a sexy riot of all things with a touch of boho and free spirit.

The collection looked completely wearable and is definitely worth flaunting this season.
