LPU - A RECREATION AND EDUCATION POTPOURRI

 Located in the Basti Sheikh area of Jalandhar, this Gurudwara has great significance as Guru Hargobind came here to pay audience to a Muslim saint, Shaikh Darvesh .


Imam Nasir Mausoleum and Jama Masjid 

 The 800-year old masjid is a beautiful piece of architecture which enshrines a sacred.

 An alluring theme park in the city, Wonderland is a fun place with lots of  excitement and adventure. It is spread across an area of 11 acres and has wonderful rides like – flying jets, bumping cars, horror house, etc. Wonderland also houses a water park which has adventurous slides and a wave pool and indoor aqua dance. This is also a place to party with an in house the discotheque.


Pushpa Gujral Science City 
 

One of its kind, this technological park gives great exposure to science enthusiasts. It has been created with an intention to cultivate the spirit of inquiry and imagination among people, especially the young minds.

MC LEODGANJ



A 6-7 hour long ride from LPU will take you to the breathtaking mountains of Dharamshala or Mc Leodganj where you can get connected to nature and forget about the material world. There is such peace and tranquility here besides some wonderful tourist spots, good food, monasteries and some breathtaking views of the mighty Himalayas. Trek, para glide or just camp by the riverside, either way it's a lot of fun!


THE GOLDEN TEMPLE, AMRITSAR


 This world heritage site attracts thousands of devotees everyday from across the world. The Harminder Sahib Gurudwara is a place of great beauty and sublime peacefulness. Originally a small lake in the midst of a quiet forest, the site has been a meditation retreat for wandering mendicants since eternity. The amazing transformation of the place over all these years has made it grander and more appealing over years. Hari Mandir is richly ornamented with marble sculptures, golden gilding, and large quantities of precious stones. Its a must visit and just 120 kms from LPU.
